This striking 1⅛-inch modern great white shark tooth (Carcharodon carcharias) pendant showcases the beautiful symmetry that is so often sought after in great white specimens. Handwork by two artisans have turned the tooth into true piece of wearable art. While relatively modest in size and materials, we count this among our statement pieces due to its rarity, uniqueness, and the mastery represented in the design. 

The tooth's root was first carefully burnt using an age old technique, and clear-coated for protection and elegance. This treatment creates an attractive contrast between the pristine white enamel crown and the darkened root.

The tooth was then handed off to an artist specializing in fine wire-wrapping, and imbued with a one of a kind design. The flat wire used provides broader surface contact and visual interest, creating flowing and even architectural lines. 

Great white shark teeth are celebrated for their perfect evolutionary design—coarse, irregular serrations and robust triangular crowns that demonstrate millions of years of refinement as cutting tools.
